Christian B Toth
Christian B Toth has truly earned his reputation as the UK’s leading hairdresser specialising in thermal hair treatments such as permanent straightening. He was the first British hairdresser to be trained at the famous Yuko Academy with Yuko Yamashita, and went on to teach the techniques in both Dubai and Paris.
His industry career has spanned 11 years and started as a L’Oreal trained colour technician. His early salon experience includes Molton Brown and the Yuko Salon in Curzon Street and he then went on to launch his own salon, Compton Hair in Soho. The salon proved to be a huge success and soon Christian moved to larger premises in Covent Garden. It was there that Christian met his assistant Sebastian Stetkiewicz and they continued to carve out their reputation for being the best in permanent hair straightening. Over the years they have developed their own techniques which allow them to work with different hair types and conditions.
Christian moved on from Compton Hair to Fordham Soho where he met Ben White and Jason Welch who were to become partners in a new salon in Mayfair - Eleven Hair. This boutique salon has established itself as a top London hair and beauty destination known for giving customers a personal service in a relaxed environment. The stunning salon features ten cutting stations, three backwashes and a busy beauty room below.
Christian’s celebrity client list includes Saffron Burows and Miss Egypt, face of L’Oreal in the Middle East. He’s participated in Celebrity Scissor Hand and styled contestants on Extreme Makeover UK. His focus however has always been the use of chemical techniques to alter the structure of hair and his unsurpassed knowledge in this area has made Christian the ‘go-to’ hairdresser for straightening. Being constantly on the lookout for new techniques and treatments has led Christian to another UK first – the launch of the new Digital Perm. This revolutionary new treatment launches to the hairdressing community and consumers in 2011.
